Here is one of the greatest sneaker marketing displays I have ever seen, NIKE does it once again…tune in to SRL tonite to hear all about this beast of a shoe. 8-10pm cst right here——————————————————————————————->
Epic Fail

It seems like only yesterday on Sports Rapp Live (from Junction Bar n Grill every Thursday night from 8-10pm cst) that we were making our NFL picks for the 2010 season and all questions about the Texans seemed to go back to “what is a successful season expectation for the Houston Texans?” Some said playoffs or bust, others said 10-6 and if you just barely miss the playoffs, even others said no less than 9-7 (which was the pinnacle so far for this team) but NO ONE said settling for single digit losses like 8-8 or 7-9 because it was unfathomable that it would even come down to that. Well Texan fans we have reached that point because the best this team can finish is 6-10 OUCH! No one in their right mind thought, with the talent of this team and tenure of a head coach that seemed to have things going in the right direction, that the Texans would not only underachieve but epically FAIL>
Wait…what?

Are you telling me the Chargers are officially eliminated from the playoffs? No way, I don’t believe that for a second…well I guess the picture of Norv is worth a million words and I have to come to grips with the fact that not only did this team underachieve but just plain flamed out against the lowly Bengals to officially be eliminated.. The same Bengals team that lost 10 in a row at some point this season and were without OchoCrappo and T.O.(S.T.F.U) for the game against the Bolts. For Charger fans, the calendar couldn’t have moved towards November and especially December fast enough so we could start planning on which seed they would be and who they would be playing when the divisional round started in January after they roar back and take the AFC west right back from the Chiefs, who seemed to be pretenders all season. Well the Chiefs are now the contenders after shellacking a Titans team that looked like a SuperBowl team themselves after their performance against the Texans (that’s a whole ‘nother post) last week.
Podcast from last night.
Rapp’s NFL week 15 Power Rankings
We are coming down to the final weeks of the season and the playoff picture is starting to look a lot clearer. Although the AFC Central and West are still up in the air, the cream has started to rise to the top. Here is the cream of our weekly Power Rankings.

5. San Diego Chargers-off back to back dominant defensive performances against division foe Chiefs and 49ers (who are both fighting for playoff spots as well) the Chargers are a scary team that NO ONE wants to face come tournament time. Ranked in the NFL’s top 3 in offense and defense, the Bolts look poised to keep their winter hot streak going in 2010

Here they go again.
I feel as though the Texans formula goes as follows from what I have been seeing.
1.For the 1st two quarters make the other team feel like there are going to blow us out.
2.Then at halftime let’s have our magic speech to get us back.
3.Then put on a clinic up until the last minute of the game.
4.Then just give them the game at the end.
This follows from yesterday’s come from behind but then blow it game the Texans played against the Ravens.

Cliff Lee going to Philly?
Looks like Cliff Lee is heading back to Philly which probably blind sided quite a bit of people. His deal is reportedly $100 million for 5 years. If everything goes through that starting rotation of Lee,Oswalt,Halladay and Hamels will be one of the most dominating rotations to face. For more about this deal check out http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2010/12/14/cliff-lee-agrees-m-deal-phillies/
