Well nightmare actually…

It was the Sunday after the Superbowl and there was no football on for 6 months…oh wait it’s not a dream? Oh god please help me! Well it was the same result in the football game this year with OSU ranked #1 so you get the idea.

And Boston beat Miami for the 3rd time this season after Mike Miller comes up short with a 3 to tie the game in the waining seconds of the 4th qtr.

Super Bowl Sunday is probably the most melancholy sporting event of the year. Its a day we look forward to throughout the regular season yet don’t want it to be over because it means we have to wait months on end until we get pro football again. This year is different because of the imminent lock out looming and uncertainty is growing by the day. Let’s hope Goddell and Smith can get their heads out of their collective asses and get a deal done asap. The NFL can’t afford to take a step back like MLB did in the ’90′s because the sport has never been the same since. Just because the golden goose is fat doesn’t mean you have to cut its head off and cook it.

The Sneak Of The Week is the Air Jordan 2011 Year Of The Rabbit.  To celebrate Chinese New Year, Jordan Brand has debuted their latest top teir signature shoe in a colorway inspired by the Year Of The Rabbit, which also happens to be Michael Jordan’s Chinese Zodiac Sign. The new model’s design is said to be inspired by fine Italian dress shoes, while offering the latest in basketball technology including a removable midsole in order to cater to players of any position on the basketball court. The Air Jordan 2011 Year Of The Rabbit will debut in China only on Chinese New Year, Thursday, February 3rd, however it’s rumored that a few pairs may make their way stateside by NBA All Star Weekend to be available only at select Jordan Brand accounts. Earlier this week the Rays put the Devil back into Tampa baseball by signing Manny Ramirez and Johnny Damon. It was all laughs as the team from south Florida went all sloppy seconds and brought in the aging veterans after a dismal offseason fire sale losing Carl Crawford, Matt Garza, Carlos Pena, Rafael Soriano, and half of their bullpen in the process. What are they going to coax Andy Pettitte out of his short lived retirement, hell bring back Roger Clemens, he’s not really up to anything these days…this is a move to try and keep the 17 loyal fans they have currently pacified until they drop the Tampa off their name to become the Bay Rays.
