NEW YORK — An NBA spokesman confirms that the league is investigating Jay-Z’s presence in Kentucky’s locker room after the Wildcats clinched a Final Four berth.

rapper visited the players after their victory over North Carolina on Sunday at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J, home of the Nets. Jay-Z is a part-owner of the team and attended the Nets’ 120-116 loss at New York on Wednesday.

NBA rules prohibit team personnel from having contact with players who are not yet draft eligible, and spokesman Tim Frank told the Associated Press the league is looking into it.

One one side of the bracket you have the proverbial Davids in VCU and Butler who each slayed Goliaths on their way to Htown. On the other side you have perennial powerhouse programs UConn and Kentucky. This sets up for the ultimate showdown no matter who makes the final game. Let’s take a brief look at each team and why they could end up hoisting the trophy on Monday night in the championship game.

Now if you are from Houston and have any interest in your local sports teams, you already know how the story unfolds. First and foremost, don’t you think the irony is a little twisted that BYU would be playing in the regional finals for the Sweet 16 in NEW ORLEANS?? In a year where their best weapon down low Brandon Davies, is removed from the team for so called “moral” code violations? This is like bringing diabetics to a candy factory and telling them “The world is yours…” It’s hilarious that an entire university of students that have to take an oath stricter than marriage just to attend BYU (mormon funded) would end up in one the most sinful places on Earth to celebrate their team’s march to the Final Four. What are they gonna do in the Bayou City that doesn’t involve coffee, tea, alcohol, tobacco, sex, or gambling? Stay in their rooms? This might as well been held in Iowa City for all these kids care.
