It’s amazing that we live in a world where anyone can have their 15 minutes of shine at any given time. It’s how you sustain that shine beyond the 15 that defines you. When Stevie Williams was recently let go from El Tigre’s bag in what may or may not have been the most pleasant of conversations, we all realized that all this man really ever did was carry Tiger’s bag. Williams has built his own multi million dollar brand for a guy who’s never sank a putt professionally. Not once did I ever ever ever hear the Kiwi say “I” won this tournament, or this was “my” greatest victory in the 13 years he was with Woods. It was always “we” if he even spoke at all. Now all of a sudden he now has 8 victories at this course without ever driving a ball.
