Chicago’s Simeon Career Academy coach Robert Smith on Monday suspended nine underclassmen for one game next season after they removed their shoes and placed them on the court following their third straight Class 4A state championship in Peoria, Ill.

After a 50-48 win over Proviso East in the state championship on Saturday, Simeon’s players took off their shoes near half court, placed them side by side on the ground and walked away. The shoes were picked up by Illinois High School Association officials and moved elsewhere.

Well the wait is OVER! Sunday January 29th at Reliant Center in the shadow of the 8th Wonder of the World and beautiful Reliant Park, home of your 2011 AFC South Champs Houston Texans. The event is one of the largest sneaker collector showcases in the world and has grown over the last 8 years from a tiny sports bar to stadium status to convention center, all with the support of collectors, brands, sneakerheads, and shops from around the country. The much anticipated Watch The Throne tour came through Htown this week and the fellas didn’t disappoint in bringing out the heat from the street for your feet.
